Ana Leach
Associate Director of Bands
Ana Leach is in her 6th year of teaching and has recently returned to Texas after earning a Master's in Music Education and a Master's in Trombone Performance from Bowling Green State University in 2024. She is the Associate Director of Bands for the Huntsville Independent School District and Director of the Jazz program. She also conducts the HHS Wind Ensemble & assists with the Marching Band.
Prior to joining the team at Huntsville High School, Mrs. Leach was a freelance musician and band clinician in the Ohio and Michigan area, as well as private lessons instructor operating her own studio teaching euphonium, trombone, and horn. Her previous teaching positions include being a Middle School Band Director at St. Patrick's of Heatherdowns School in Toledo, OH; Head Middle School Band Director & Assistant High School Band Director at Hempstead ISD in Hempstead, TX; and Assistant Band Director at Palestine ISD in Palestine, TX. Though she never spun while in school herself, Mrs. Leach has also taught as a colorguard instructor and choreographer.
Mrs. Leach graduated from S. H. Rider High School in 2015 and went on to study Music Education at Midwestern State University, where she earned her Bachelor's in 2019. Mrs. Leach's professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, Kappa Kappa Psi, and International Trombone Association.
Mrs. Leach is married to her wonderful husband Jake and a pet parent to her cats Spooky and Eris. When not playing in community ensembles, she loves to kayak, play board/card games, and eat good food.
