John Fitzgerald Green Sr, A.A., B.M.
Director of Bands
John Green is in his 24th year of teaching and is in his 22nd year at Huntsville High School. He is the Director of Bands for the Huntsville Independent School District. He leads the Huntsville Hornet Military Marching Band and conducts the HHS Wind Symphony. Prior to his tenure at Huntsville High School, Mr. Green taught at New Diana High School as the Assistant Band Director.
Mr. Green graduated from Gilmer High School in 1998 and went on to major in music at Kilgore College, where he earned his Associate of Arts Degree in 2000. After transferring to Stephen F. Austin State University, he earned his Bachelor of Music Degree in 2003. Mr. Green’s professional affiliations include the Association of Texas Professional Educators, Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, and National Association of Military Marching Bands.
Mr. Green and his wife, Melissa, have three beautiful children. Mr. Green also serves as the Music Minister at Elkins Lake Baptist Church.
